Are You Having Madonna Adoption Story Withdrawal?

MSNBC brings us another Madonna adoption story. Seems like awhile since we had one of those, doesn't it? This time the news is that the High Court in Malawi ruled that a coalition of human rights groups may monitor the adoption process. It's not clear whether Madonna had any choice in the matter, but regardless, she and hubby Guy Ritchie have agreed to the High Court's ruling, according to Madonna's lawyer.

The basis for the groups' desire to monitor the adoption process is a concern that the government "cut legal corners to fast-track the adoption. They said that while they do not object to Madonna as a prospective parent, regulations must be followed to protect children."

The father of the child that Madonna is adopting says that he hopes the case will result in reforms that make it easier for Malawian children to be adopted by foreigners.
