What's Left of Michael Richards' Career ...
... is probably just about over now. The former Seinfeld star was in a Los Angeles comedy club Friday night and hurled into a barrage of racial epithets at hecklers in the audience.
He was performing a set at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood when he began his shocking rampage (video can be seen on TMZ.com).
Apparently it all started when two black audience members began shouting at him, telling him that he wasn't funny.
Richards responded, "Shut up! Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f------ fork up your a--. You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now mother------. Throw his a-- out. He's a n-----!" He then proceeded to say the racial epithet over and over again, to the shock and audible gasps of the audience.
He refused to comment on-camera after the incident, but CNN reports that he said off-camera he felt sorry for what had happened and had made amends. So much for the Seinfeld curse being lifted.
