Baby on the Way For Veep's Daughter

The Vice-President's daughter, Mary Cheney, and her partner of 15 years Heather Poe, are pregnant. Well, technically only one of the women, Mary Cheney, is pregnant. People reports that Dick Cheney's press secretary had this to say about the announcement:

"The Vice President and Mrs. Cheney are looking forward with eager anticipation to the arrival of their sixth grandchild," Dick Cheney's press secretary, Lea Anne McBride, said in a statement. (The Cheneys' older daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband welcomed their fifth child in July.)

Mary Cheney, 37, has been openly gay for some time. She met Poe when they played college ice hockey together in Colorado.
