Beyonce on the Cover of InStyle Magazine
R&B singer/actress Beyonce makes the cover of the January issue of InStyle magazine. Well spoken, hard working and above all, a good role model, it's no wonder they chose her. During the cover shoot, DJ Logic played music by Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Roberta Flack and more. "She's very playful on top of everything," said assistant stylist Cristal Butler. "We just had a really great time!"
One question I was eager to ask Beyonce didn't make the cut for my cover story. I saw how close she is to her two-year-old nephew Daniel, the son of her sister Solange - they were watching cartoons in bed together when I arrived for my interview. "Do you want to have kids of your own?" I later asked her, thinking that if she and Jay-Z ever got married and had a baby, that child would be like the music industry's answer to Shiloh Pitt-Jolie: R&B royalty. “I love to baby-sit my nephew, but doing that actually lets me know that I'm not ready yet,” Beyonce told me. "Because I couldn't imagine having a person that I'm responsible for right now. I feel like it's important that before a young woman gets married or has a child, she knows what she wants out of life."
Beyonce paused for a moment to reflect before adding: "I don't think that's something you should rush. For me, that's going to happen when it happens. It might be two years. It might be one year. Or it might be 10 years. I'm still young, and right now I'm happy. And satisfied."
