Isaiah Washington Goes to Rehab

E! Online's Kristin Veitch reported that Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington's days on the show many be numbered. Now tabloid magazine Life & Style reports that Washington "has entered a residential treatment facility in an effort to quell the controversy surrounding his anti-gay remarks — and save his job." He has agreed to "undergo a psychological assessment after talks with ABC executives."

Apparently, he entered treatment this morning. A statement from Washington released today says:

“With the support of my family and friends, I have begun counseling. I regard this as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again. I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally.”

Is counseling a metaphor for rehab now?
