Isaiah Washington Ousted from Grey's Anatomy
Where there's smoke, there's fire. Ever since actor Isaiah Washington mouthed off more than once, there have been rumors swirling that his time on ABC's hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy was limited. Turns out, the rumors were right.
An ABC Studios spokesperson confirmed yesterday that the actor's contract option has not been picked up.
Washington's rep, Howard Bragman, confirmed the news, saying that the show's executive producer Shonda Rhimes told him earlier yesterday that he was not being invited back to the show. In a statement, Washington, referencing the iconic line from Network, said, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."
Alrighty then.
