Nicole Richie Gets Minor Reprieve
Reality star and possible pregnant party girl Nicole Richie got a bit of a reprieve today when her lawyer filed a motion for yet another delay in her scheduled court hearing, which was due to begin tomorrow.
"The trial will not happen (Wednesday)" said Jane Robison, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. "Richie's attorney filed a motion ... stating that their key witness, a drug expert, was unavailable for trial."
Richie's attorney originally requested the new trial be rescheduled until August 5th, a request which was denied. Both sides are supposed to appear in court tomorrow anyway to debate why there should be a delay in the first place.
