Andy Baldwin is a Bachelor Again

Totally bummed about this one. While I'd like to think there was still hope, methinks the writing is on the wall and this is the beginning of the end. Just as the newest season of The Bachelor is set to premiere, comes news that Andy Baldwin and Tessa Horst have called off their engagement.

"We are very much in love and committed to our relationship," the couple say in a statement to People magazine. "With the possibility of reassignment to a new location, we decided it was not the ideal time for Tessa to uproot herself and move out [to Hawaii] right now. Our relationship continues to deepen, and we're very hopeful about our future together." Andy went on to say, "I know that I have a year left and I may have the option of a three-year tour. There is also the option of a position in California. There is also a chance of me going back to finish my residency training. I am a firm believer that everything happened for a reason, and I am a firm believer that this happened in my life for a reason. Tessa came onto the show for a reason, and it is like a dream come true."

Something's fishy in Denmark.

The Bachelor is Back

Finally, at long last, ABC is letting go of some information on the new season of The Bachelor. Brad Womack was born in Atlanta, but grew up in Texas and is 34 years old. is ABC's newest Bachelor, the network has announced. Living in Austin, he owns four bars with his two brothers and is a twin. You won't have to wait much longer to get to know him. The eleventh season of the show is set to premiere with a 90-minute special on Monday, September 24th at 9:30 pm. Given ABC is already calling him the show's "McSteamy," it sounds like we're in for a treat.

Dancing with the Stars' Judges to Get New Show

No word on if they will continue on ABC's hit dancing competition Dancing with the Stars, but in the meantime judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli have a new show in the works. It's some sort of reality competition featuring dancing singers based on a BBC hit, Dance X.

Carrie Ann and Bruno will be pitted against each other, coaching and choreographing dancers in various styles. Another show for us to get hooked on!

It's Official: Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn Finally Wed

In what has to be the longest engagement in Hollywood history (or it at least certainly felt like it!), actress/model Rebecca Romijn finally walked down the aisle and wed actor Jerry O'Connell this weekend in LA. Jerry, brother of The Bachelor Charlie, actually proposed nearly two years ago, in September 2005. Given Rebecca already has one divorce under her belt (to actor John Stamos), caution and time probably wasn't such a bad idea.

The two married in an "intimate ceremony." I love when they say "intimate" ceremony. This "intimate" one had 100 family and friends of the couple. Intimate? Yeah, not so much, unless it's by Hollywood standards.

The duo's two pups, Taco and Better, were also part of the festivities, decked out in black bow ties.

Rebecca can be seen in ABC's comedy Ugly Betty, and Jerry goes back to work this fall, starring in a new comedy from ABC - Carpoolers.

Dancing with the Stars ... Did You Know?

The sparkly, sequined and sometimes ultra-tight costumes on ABC's hit show Dancing with the Stars are almost their own contestant, and as much time is spent on the costumes as dance rehearsals.

Costume supervisor Kirstin Gallo, costume designer Randall Christensen and assistant costume designer Steven Lee sometimes work up to seven days to create a show's unique looks. Right after the results show on Tuesday, the designers meet with the contestants to start working on the following week's styles, with the design ideas coming from the professional dancers. Fabric and accessory orders are then placed right away to make sure they arrive in time. Recently, Christiansen ordered 138,240 Swarovski rhinestones (which averages out to about 15,000 per dress!).

Every costume is custom-crafted, and the designers are also responsible for dressing the three judges and the two hosts. Keeping in mind that there are different outfits for the pros performances on the results show, the designers sometimes have to create as many as 46 original costumes a week!

During the final hour and a half before showtime, the designers make last minute minor adjustments and remove any spray tanning and body makeup stains.

Christansen doesn't leave the set until all the stars come down the stairs for the show. "It's like the babies are being born at that moment. It's glorious and beautiful."

Rosie to Leave The View

After this weekend's tantrum, I bet there are a few happy smiles with this announcement. Chatfest host of The View, Rosie O'Donnell, has not been able to reach a contractual agreement with ABC Daytime, and as a result, she will be departing the show in mid-June.

"Working with Barbara [Walters], Joy [Behar] and Elisabeth [Hasselbeck] has been one of the highlights of my career, but my needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me," Rosie says in a statement to ABCNews.com. "To all the viewers out there, I just want to say 'Thank you' for opening up your hearts and your homes to me this past year. But you can always find me at Rosie.com."

Brian Frons of ABC Daytime said, "Going in we knew we would have an amazing year with [Rosie], and that anything beyond that would be gravy. And while we've tried to come to terms on a deal that would extend her [stay] on The View, we find ourselves unable to agree on some key elements."

Barbara Walters weighed in, "[Rosie] has given the program new vigor, new excitement and wonderful hours of television. I am very sad that ABC Daytime could not reach an agreement with her for a second year. We will all miss Rosie. She remains for me a cherished friend and colleague."

So who's up next for the revolving chairs on The View?

Bring Dancing with the Stars Home

It was only a matter of time before the folks behind the popular Dancing with the Stars leveraged its popularity into other venues, and that time has come. Dancing with the Stars: Cardio Dance is your opportunity to bring a few of the shows' stars home with you, and get a workout in the meantime.

Three of the professional dancers are involved with this one, Ashly, Kym and Maksim, and they'll guide you through heart-pumping dance routines (six in all), complete with big band music and colorful sets. Just for the Maksim drool-factor alone, it just might be worth picking up. Cha-Cha anyone?

Four More Years of Desperate Housewives

I bailed out on the ABC hit Desperate Housewives two seasons ago - it was getting a little too over-the-top for me. But DH fans will be happy to know that it looks like it will be around for another four more years. Creator Marc Cherry has just signed a four-year deal with ABC, rumored to exceed $15 million. All in a day's work...

Although it hasn't been confirmed by ABC yet, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that there is a Grey's Anatomy spin-off in the works, and it's to be headed by the drama's Addison Montgomery Shepherd (played by actress Kate Walsh).

The WSJ says that there will be a two-hour pilot to kick off the new series, and it will likely air in May. Stay tuned as we watch this developing story for you.

Show Me the Money Yanked from ABC

In a very forgiving move, ABC has yanked their new game show, Show Me the Money, with host William Shatner. I watched it once, barely suffering through it, and am glad they have decided to take pity on us.

They have also pulled Taye Diggs' new drama, "Day Break." Both shows are off the air, effective immediately. Although I hadn't seen that show, I'm a fan of Taye Diggs and am hoping a network will find a home for him somewhere soon.
