Hef's Not Getting Hitched

Glitter and Gossip has been following the rumors of an impending marriage between Hef and one of his three girlfriends: Holly Madison (she's to the right of Hugh in the picture at left).

Hef was recently interviewed by London's Evening Standard and he reveals that no wedding is in the works:

Right now, Holly is the woman whose company Hef appears to enjoy the most. "I love her more than either of the two women I married," he says, adamantly.

"She completes me. Everything I do is more enjoyable because I share it with her. We have common interests in movies and in music and we are very compatible sexually.

"Am I going to marry Holly? I don't think so. But I do think that eventually Holly and I will have a monogamous relationship. Do Kendra and Bridget know that? Sure, it's fine with them. They are here for different reasons."

Different reasons? "I'm a realist," is his reply. Then he goes back to the subject of Holly. "She's as close as I've found in my life to a soulmate," he says.

Then why not marry her? "I've seen what marriage does to a soulmate," he says, firmly. "People stop trying."

But what about the age difference between him and Holly?

"I am still the boy who dreamed the dreams," he says, "That's who I am."

Is Hef Getting Hitched?

Like Annie, I have to grudgingly admit that I watch the Girls Next Door. I don't know what it is about that show, but I just find it addictive. Looks like this new season might be its last. Page Six is reporting that the buzz during the Oscar parties last weekend was that Hugh Hefner and his "number one girlfriend," Holly Madison, will be getting married before the end of the year.

Apparently, the wedding will be part of the E! show, but Hef doesn't want to ruin the surprise or have people stop watching. Apparently Kendra is never at the mansion and Bridget is only still around because she's very friendly to Holly.

After this article earlier this year, a wedding to Holly would certainly make sense.

Holly is the One for Hugh Hefner

I am ashamed to admit it, but I watch the Girls Next Door. If you haven't seen the show, it's a reality show filmed in the Playboy mansion that follows Hugh Hefner's girlfriends, Holly Madison (center), Kendra Wilkinson (right) and Bridget Marquardt (left). Hugh shows up every now and then, but the show really focuses on the girls.

Holly is known as Hugh's number one girl of this three girlfriends. She has been there the longest and shares a room with him. On the show, she has expressed her interest in having a baby with Hugh. According to Fox News, It looks like Hef, 80, may be warming to the idea:

"I think ‘probability' is probably an overstatement," Hefner told the Daily News, "but ‘possibility' is very real. It began as a wish, and now it's becoming, I mean, on Holly's part, it's a more serious conversation."

"I wouldn't say that there's a plan, but there has certainly been a conversation," the founder of the Playboy empire told The New York Daily News.

Hef also said that Holly is "the one." He mentioned his surprise, too:
"This is the one," he said of Madison. "It's fascinating — I mean, with all the years and the romantic adventures and the marriages, etc. — to find something as special as this at this stage in my life is a miracle."

"This is the one with the future," he continued. "And this was not planned as a plot line — a variation on HBO's [polygamy drama] 'Big Love.' This was a unique relationship, and then the television show came along. We're just having a lot of fun with it, and life has never been better."

I bet Holly is glad to hear Hugh say she's the one, although I wonder how she feels about being the one among three....
