Cover Girl: Madonna on British Elle Magazine

Pop star Madonna, who was recently honored with the Elle Style Icon Award at the 10th Elle Style Awards sponsored by H&M (held in London earlier this month), graces the cover of the April issue of British Elle magazine.

Inside, she dishes about her kids' interest in fashion. "My daughter is going through a phase of wearing jeans that are so tight she can't bend her knees in them. I have a go at her and say, 'Can't you wear something else? You have a closet full of clothes and you wear the same pants every day. And please wear a belt because I don't want to see your butt crack when you bend over,'" she tells the magazine. And Rocco is just as guilty. "My son never wants to take off his Gap army fatigue pants. They both wear the same thing over and over again."

Husband Guy Ritchie, on the other hand, knows who to listen too though, "He's very obedient in the clothes department!" says Madonna.

Gwen Stefani Gets a Normal Hairstyle!

Gone, at least for now, are the crazy space alien hairstyles she's been sporting lately. Singer Gwen Stefani is the newest cover girl for Elle magazine, looking quite beautiful on their February issue. Here are some excerpts from her interview with them:

On Madonna:
"It's weird that we have all these similarities. Madonna's had us over to dinner and stuff. She's always been very nice to me ... I remember telling Madonna I was going to do an 80s dance record and she rolled her eyes, because I think when you've lived through it like she did, she’s like 'Whatever.' But a lot of my influence came from her early work, like directly, like a Xerox."

On her marriage:
"I mean, of course me and Gavin have problems, sometimes. Everyone does. We've been together for over 10 years. This is, like, the real deal."

On 8-month-old son Kingston:
"He's pretty rad…Kingston is so chill. He goes with me everywhere, 'cause I'm still nursing. He's been to every studio in L.A., New York, London. He lives up to his name – total Rasta boy. He gives me real balance. You can go 100 miles an hour, but you have to stop to hang out with him."
