Things Get Dirty in Anne Heche Divorce

Honestly, when you take up with your co-star while you're still married, you can't think that the divorce proceedings are going to go swimmingly.

Anne Heche's divorce battle with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Coley Laffoon, got a little bit heated yesterday as he called her a poor parent and said she has "bizarre and delusional behavior." Wouldn't be the first time someone called her crazy.

Coley filed for divorce back in February and is asking for $33,000 a month in support and primary custody of their 5-year-old son, Homer.

"Clearly, [Heche's] anger toward me has clouded her ability to think rationally about what is in Homer's best interest," says Laffoon's papers, filed earlier in the month.

Heche responded by saying Laffoon has "resorted to lies with the court because Anne would not cave in to his astronomical money demands."

"For the past several years, the child's father has refused to get a job in order to contribute financially to the child's care," says the statement.

Laffoon maintains that he quit his very cough, cough lucrative $6,000-a-year career as a video photographer to raise their child, and than Anne earns $81,000 an episode on Men in Trees. Because the show is filmed in Vancouver, he leaves her "little time available from her busy schedule to spend time with Homer."

Additionally, "[Heche] has at times exhibited bizarre and delusional behavior for which she refuses to seek professional help," the court papers say.

It's Divorce Time for Anne Heche

Completing the breakup hat trick is the news that Anne Heche's husband, Coley Laffoon, has filed for divorce, according to People. We got news earlier this week that Heche left her husband for her Men in Trees co-star, James Tupper, but now it's really official.

The two were married for five years and have a four-year old son named Homer. You may recall that this is Heche's second public report of infidelity. She left Ellen Degeneres for Laffoon when she met him while filming a documentary. Tupper better hope for a long run for Men in Trees, unless he's interested in a short relationship with Heche.

Honestly, what is with people? In 2000, she decided she was no longer a lesbian and left girlfriend Ellen DeGeneres. Now after nearly 6 years of marriage, and a 4-year-old son, Homer, Men in Trees actress Anne Heche has left cameraman husband Coley Laffoon for her costar, James Tupper. Tupper left his wife in November.

In 2001, Anne published an autobiography, Call Me Crazy, detailing her struggles with mental illness. As recently as October, Anne told People magazine that she was happy in her marriage. "You hopefully have a journey where you can get healthy and find love, and fortunately I did," she said.
