Kelly Clarkson Teams Up With Nascar

I didn't see this one coming. American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson will represent NASCAR during its 2007 season. E! Online says the partnership marks "the biggest and most comprehensive partnership the motorsports organization has ever forged with a recording artist."

Here's what Clarkson had to say about it:

"Anyone who knows me knows I'm a race fan and love NASCAR," Clarkson said in a statement. "It's been cool doing things with NASCAR in the past and I'm honored to have the opportunity to play such a huge role for the sport in 2007. I look forward to hanging out with the fans, drivers and the entire NASCAR community."

Niki Taylor Weds NASCAR Driver

People has confirmed that after a four-month engagement, model Niki Taylor married NASCAR driver Burney Lamar at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, California on Wednesday. The wedding guests numbered about 60, with Taylor's children in attendance.

As in every good celebrity wedding, the bride wore Vera Wang. Niki's older sister was her matron of honor and her neice was a flower girl. They were married by their hometown pastor and danced to Jack Johnson's "Better Together." The reception featured five courses including "squash soup, potato gnocchi with wild mushrooms, steak and lobster."

This is Taylor's second marriage, after being married for three years to Arena Football League player Matt Martinez. She divorced him in 1996.

It's Official: NASCAR Jeff Gordon to Become a Dad

He might drive fast around the NASCAR track, but Jeff Gordon and his new wife, model Ingrid Vandebosch, are just as fast with family planning. The couple married last month in Mexico, and just announced they're expecting their first child in the summer.

Jeff said, "We're obviously very excited. Christmas came early for us this year. This is a very special gift for us – one that we're both looking forward to. The due date is early July, and Ingrid and I can't wait to be parents. We've known for a little while, but we couldn't wait any longer to share the good news with our friends and fans."
