NBC Nixes Madonna's Cross

Madonna won't be hanging off any sparkly crosses on NBC, that's for sure. The network will edit out all the scenes of Madonna's faux crucifixion (in which she, of course, wears a crown of thorns). The cross gag is utilized during her "Live to Tell" ballad. The cameras will show the audience during those scenes, then come back to Madonna when she's back on terra firma.

While Madonna initially balked at the idea of editing out the cross scenes, a spokesperson now says that she agreed to the decision. The concert will air on November 22nd on NBC and was filmed at London's Wembley Stadium.
