Rush Limbaugh: Are You Kidding Me?
Seriously. Are you kidding me? Michael J. Fox, actor from the popular television show Family Ties, has been suffering Parkinson's since 1991. He shakes. A lot. That's part of Parkinson's unfortunately. And for 15 years now, it's been part of Michael J. Fox.
Michael recently appeared in a very, very short TV spot for Missouri Senate challenger Claire McAskill, who supports stem-cell research.
Radio host Rush Limbaugh said in his show on Tuesday that the actor is making his symptoms worse for the camera. "He is moving around and shaking, and it is purely an act."
Rush, what has Michael done to you?

Unfortunately for Michael, he's supports an unproven technology that so far has only destroyed lives. Young, tiny lives perhaps. But you too were that young and that tiny at one time.
Adult stem cells and cord blood cells have a PROVEN track record in curing disease, even in allowing those paralyzed by long-standing spinal cord injuries to walk again.
Would someone who supports killing young lives on an unproven technology shake a bit more than the tremors commonly associated with parkensons? Maybe.
Does Rush know for a fact that he was faking. No.
Let's look at the tape, and compare to others.
Good points. There are definitely two sides to the stem cell research debate. The problem I have is that an accusation was made without being based in fact.
Annie - Michael has admitted in the past that he sometimes doesn't take his medication when making appearances so that he can show the effects of Parkinson's.
Admittedly, it was in 2000, when he talked to Diane Sawyer about it after not taking his medication prior to testifying before Congress.
But Limbaugh's comments were based on (old) facts.
Anonymous - yes, I remember Michael saying that, but not taking medication is completely different than faking symptoms. It just means his symptoms might be stronger because he might not have taken medication, not that he is faking it.
