American Idol's Jennifer Hudson Gets Record Deal

ET Online reports that Jennifer Hudson has signed a record deal with Clive Davis' Arista Records. Hudson's career is on an upswing lately, since she is also starring in the movie Dreamgirls with Beyonce and Jamie Foxx, which will be in theaters this Christmas. Here's what Clive had to say:

"Jennifer is a vocal wonder, a tremendously gifted artist," Clive said in a statement to ET. "Her extraordinary voice gives her a signature sound and distinguishes her from every singer on the horizon today. Jennifer is a very exciting new addition to the Arista family."
