Angelina and Brad Continue to Save the World

What do you do for Christmas if you are so rich that there's nothing you will ever want or need? Well, if you are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, you donate your time to a worthy cause. This time, they spent Christmas day handing out gifts to refugee children in Costa Rica's capital city of San Jose, according to People. The visit was part of Jolie's duties as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

In case you would like a little lesson in geopolitics, read on. Otherwise, just skip down and watch the SNL short starring Justin Timberlake. Jolie is trying to give attnetion to the 11,500 refugees who have mostly come from Colombia, which is ravaged by a "conflict between leftist guerrillas, soldiers and paramilitary forces." Am estimated 3 million Colombians have been forced to leave the country.

"The conflict in Colombia is the greatest humanitarian tragedy in the Western Hemisphere, but it receives very little international attention," Jolie said after her arrival in San Jose. "My Christmas message to Colombian refugees and to the millions of displaced people in Colombia is that the world has not totally forgotten them."
