Jessica Simpson Hearts Dolly Parton

Poor Jessica Simpson just wanted to be perfect when she performed 9 to 5 at the Kennedy Center event honoring her idol, Dolly Parton. But things quickly went from bad to worse when Jessica flubbed a line of the song. Page Six has all the details on what happened, including the little reported fact that Jessica came back on the stage and re-did the song perfectly.

When she first performed the song, Jess was "barely audible and clutched her stomach at times." As she ran off the stage, she said: "Dolly, that made me so nervous," and "You fluster me." The audience was so stunned that they didn't applaud when Jess left the stage crying. Page Six says that while the drama was caught on tape, CBS will likely edit it out.
