The Grey's Anatomy War Carries On
Earlier this week, Madison talked about Katherine Heigl's statement about co-star Isaiah Washington. Now comes new statements from T.R. Knight, the guy who plays loveable George on the popular drama.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, to air today, T.R. Knight said that hearing Isaiah call him a "faggot" on the set is what gave him the courage to come out of the closet, and he's "speechless" that Washington denied using the word on Monday.
"It's an awesome word, isn't it?" T.R. said to Ellen. "I've never been called that to my face. So I think when that happened, something shifted, and it became bigger than myself ... I was under no delusions. My friends on the set knew. We talked about it. Publicly it's not my thing to call up PEOPLE magazine and be like, 'Hey, you want to know something about me?' ... I could've just let it slide and not said anything, but it became important. It became important to make the statement."
Guess things really aren't back to normal on the Grey's Anatomy set after all.
