An Impending Royal Wedding?

Everyone loves a big fancy royal wedding, but I think the British press might be getting a little ahead of themselves here. Judge for yourself - the Daily Mail reports that "A House of Commons select committee has heard that William, 24, had spoken openly about his plans." So what's that? Triple hearsay?

And it gets even worse than that. Then they say that a "respected royal photographer" told the House of Commons committee that Kate Middleton is "in love with Prince William. I'm sure one day they'll get married. I have talked to him about that and he's made it clear... he wants to get married."

The official word is that: "Prince William has no plans to get engaged." Sounds to me more like the Daily Mail wants dibs on saying they reported the story first, even if it's just a story a guy heard from another guy who heard it from another guy. So, I'd say don't get too excited about seeing the Queen in another silly hat at a wedding anytime soon. Plus, engagment rumors have been swirling since as far back as December and there's been no engagement yet.

Prince William has been dating Kate Middleton since around Christmas of 2003.
