Actress Kyra Sedgwick Inks a Nice Payday

The star of TNT's The Closer, Kyra Sedgwick, is going to be sticking around for awhile. She just inked a deal with the network, worth $16 million, to continue on the drama series. She is now one of the highest-paid actresses on television. The new contract will give the Golden Globe winner a producer credit and a generous salary bump to approximately $250,000 per episode.

Jennifer Hudson Disses American Idol

Although her comments are not necessarily direct hits, what singer Jennifer Hudson said about American Idol recently is anything but complimentary. It seems the Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee is already forgetting how she got her recent acting gig in Dreamgirls. She is the newest cover girl for Essence magazine, and here's some of what she had to say:

"On American Idol, you go through this mental thing; you've got to get yourself back together. You've been abused, misled and brainwashed to believe whatever they want you to think. You become a character – I became the girl in the turkey wrapping." (On one episode, she wore an unflattering outfit that earned that label.) "I just knew I had to sing my way out of it. I don't believe in looking back, and I didn't look back."

Justin Made a Funny

Justin Timberlake got some revenge last night during his appearance at the Golden Globes. Last year, Prince made a snotty comment at an Emmy Awards after-partying, saying: "For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!"

Timberlake got back at him last night when Prince was not in the audience to collect his Golden Globe award for best original song in a motion picture. When JT realized Prince was not there, he said: "Well, I guess Prince couldn't be here." Then at 6'1", he crouched down in an attempt to emulate Prince's 5'2" petite frame and added, "I'd like to accept this award on his behalf." Luckily, the audience ate it up!

Golden Globes Fashion 2007

No word on if new boyfriend, Derek Jeter, was with her, but Jessica Biel looked fantastic nonetheless. The color palette this year was definitely black, cream and gold - very few colors outside of that this time around.
