Hugh Grant Arrested Over Baked Beans?!

File this one under "strange but true." Actor Hugh Grant was arrested and questioned by police after an incident Tuesday where a photographer accused the actor of attacking him with a tub of baked beans.

Photographer Ian Whittaker told the Daily Star tabloid that he and Hugh clashed near the star's home, and Hugh "abused and kicked him Tuesday before lobbing the beans. The paper printed photos of Grant with a plastic tub of food raised over his head." Ooops.

Hugh's lawyers did admit that an incident took place and said that was under investigation. A police spokeswoman did confirm that a "46-year-old man had been arrested Wednesday evening and questioned at a London police station after an allegation of assault in west London."

Hugh was bailed out and set to return in May.

This is not the first time that he has had a curious runin with the authorities. Back in 1995, he made headlines all over after being arrested during an encounter with an LA prostitute. (Apparently, his girlfriend at the time, actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, just wasn't enough).

Drew Barrymore Likes 'Em Smart

Good for her. The popular actress is gracing the cover of Harper's Bazaar's February issue and tells them, "The guys I had crushes on growing up were Ted Koppel and David Letterman. I like smart, weird, funny and sharp." Hear, hear.

It's been awhile since she was on the big screen, but the wait is nearly over. Her newest movie, Music and Lyrics, will be out soon and costars Hugh Grant.

As for her love life, she's still with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, 26, and they've been together for five years, which in the celebrity world is like 20 to you and I. They live in New York City.

She's been in the business for quite awhile, growing up before our eyes. Remember ET? Yeah, it might be time to dust that one off and pop it in the DVD player. She has some advice for perennial party girl, Lindsay Lohan, "I know Lindsay, and I like her very much," she says. "You just have to try to be as graceful as you can. You know, you flub, you flub. And that's life. ... I think, do what you want, but just be professional."
