Former Dharma and Greg actress Jenna Elfman and her husband Bodhi welcomed their first child on July 23 in Los Angeles. Named Story Elias, he weighed in at 7 lbs, 2 oz.

As she announced on her website recently, her new son "likes include classical music, a clean diaper, mom's boobs and long naps. Story wants to give big props to his mom for all the hard work."

Cover Girl: Lindsay Lohan on LA Confidential

For someone who has so much going for her, it's a shame that actress and perennial party girl Lindsay Lohan ended up in trouble again last week. In any event, she graced the July cover of Los Angeles Confidential magazine and sat down to dish about her latest movie and being misunderstood.

LOS ANGELES CONFIDENTIAL: You’ve been spending a lot of time out and about in New York. Is it good to be back East?
LINDSAY LOHAN: I love New York and being here… I haven’t seen my family enough, but it’s been a lot of fun.

LAC: Tell us about your role in I Know Who Killed Me.
LL: It’s the best film I could imagine being a part of. I play a girl who’s abducted by a serial killer; she’s an exotic dancer. It’s difficult to fully explain her without giving away the whole film. I had to learn to walk with a prosthetic leg… It’s my first really intense role. I was doing it when I was in treatment, so it was a lot.

LAC: Will your fans be shocked by the film?
LL: Yes, definitely.

LAC: She sounds like a very “adult” character. Did you deliberately choose a role that would contrast with the others you’re known for?
LL: I did in some ways… I always try and pick [a character] with an arc in the film. You don’t come across characters like this very often. I don’t expect people to relate to her, necessarily, but I wanted to give life to her. The script is just so incredible… I read it and it felt like The Silence of the Lambs, something I’ve always dreamed of finding.

LAC: What does a psychological thriller allow you to do as an actor?
LL: In this case, the things I go through are so dramatic… I do a lot of crying in scenes; at one point [my character] takes a bunch of pills. I didn’t know how to approach the challenge, so I just dove in. She experiences things I certainly hope to never go through in real life. I also get to dance in the film, which I love to do.

>LAC: Like stripping? Was that nerve-wracking?
LL: Leading up to it, I was a little shaky, but I had some friends on set and in the end I wasn’t nervous. Once I was in costume and really “in it,” the scene went great. It doesn’t come across as cheesy or gross, like, “Oh, she just wanted to take her clothes off.”

LAC: You’re coming off all the Georgia Rule hype…. How was that experience, acting alongside people like Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman?
LL: I’ve been really blessed—and I’ll say that forever—to work with these older women I respect, and who are always offering advice. I’m open to it, and really appreciate it.

LAC: How do you picture your career changing in the coming years? Is there a career you’d like to emulate?
LL: There are a lot of people I admire, of course… Jane Fonda, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts. I love Madonna… but I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself and say I’ll have a career like someone else. That’s setting myself up for disappointment. I’ve got to just go with it and do what I do.

LAC: Congrats on topping the Maxim Hot 100 list…. As we speak, you’re getting ready to go to the party celebrating the issue. Do you think those nominations are fun or silly?
LL: I think it’s really cool. I’m genuinely flattered. My friends have been texting me, saying congratulations and blah blah blah…. It’s a lot of pressure, considering I haven’t been working out. I’ve just been going out and having fun.

LAC: You’re about to turn 21. Do you think some of the paparazzi hype that follows you will die down when you’re of legal age?
LL: I didn’t even think of that. I hope so, because it detracts from my acting. It really takes away from what I do. Look, I’m only human, and people try and find anything on me. I have a boyfriend now [British looker Calum Best] and pretty soon I’ll be going home to LA, so everything will hopefully change then when things are calmer. It’s so funny…. This week in New York has been like “go go go go,” and then it all suddenly is going to stop.

LAC: People scrutinize your every move, now more than ever. What do you think the fascination is?
LL: I’m honest… I live my life the way I want to live it, and don’t let other people get me down. I’m very strong-willed.

LAC: Does the attention put undue strain on your relationships?
LL: It’s funny…. Since I’m seeing someone right now, we’ve been talking about it. He’s about to go to London and I’m going to LA. If we were to talk about it and maybe get into an argument, [the press] would go crazy; they’ll dig up people we dated in the past…. Luckily he’s had experience with the media before. I’ve gone through this with guys who’ve never experienced that kind of pressure, and it’s tough.

LAC: When someone gets down on you in the press, how do you deal with it?
LL: I don’t really deal with it. I’ve learned that as much as you want to retaliate and say “It’s not true, I’m not really like that, things didn’t happen like that,” it’s better not to say anything, not to feed into the bullshit. Because when you don’t feed into it, it goes away much faster.

LAC: Do you think LA is a great town, or a hard town?
LL: I think it’s a hard town. Anywhere can be hard if you’ve been through difficult stuff in your life. When you carry that with you it can make anywhere a dark place. I do love LA; I think it’s great, though I consider myself so lucky that I get to travel and get away when I need to. The real hard thing about LA is that it’s all about one thing. Everyone always wants something. This industry is very lonely; I tend to get very lonely. When it’s a Sunday in LA, and there’s no one around, and you see no cars go by, it’s a challenge.

LAC: What are the traits you look for in people who really get close to you?
LL: Honesty and loyalty. The people who’ve been my friends for a long time will say, “Don’t hang around with this or that person, they don’t have your best interest at heart.” I tend to trust everyone too much at the beginning, because I don’t like to cut off ties that easily. I should probably learn to, but it’s just not something I’m able to do that well. I really appreciate someone who’s honest and caring, with a great sense of humor.

LAC: Is it a misconception when people characterize you as someone who loves to party, who’s out all night?
LL: The thing is, people do things and mess up. No one’s perfect; I’m human. I live by that, and I don’t judge people. Everyone judges me, so I know how it feels, which is why I don’t judge other people.

Finally! Star Jones Reynolds Admits Gastric Bypass Surgery

Although she has danced around the topic for quite awhile now, former View co-host Star Jones Reynolds has FINALLY admitted that she had gastric bypass surgery ... as if any of us had any doubt. She wrote an essay in the September issue of Glamour magazine. Some excerpts are below, but you can read the whole she-bang right here.

"The toughest part of the journey has been forgiving myself for not having the self-control I know I should have had, or admitting I needed help," she writes. "Every day I am learning to let go of my insecurities and acknowledge that I don't have all the answers, which is okay," she says. Though she still struggles with self-image, she writes that being healthy is what counts. "I'm not saying that in order to be happy, women need to be a certain size, but I am saying that we should all strive to be healthy."

Big Brother's Will Kirby Heading Back to TV

You may remember him as the Big Brother contestant you loved to hate, but whether or not you were a fan, you're going to see Will Kirby's mug back on TV. The good doctor is heading for Dr. 90210. He recently gave an interview to US magazine -- love him or hate him, he's certainly full of personality. The new season of the E! series Dr. 90210 premieres tonight at 10 p.m.

Us: Explain the type of medicine you practice.
WK: I deal with facial aesthetics and do whatever is necessary to make people look younger - botox, chemical peels and other complexion enhancements. I try to give patients those pouty little smiles that Hollywood loves. We’re moving away from the trend of giant boobs and duck lips. Instead, we’re seeing smaller procedures more often, just to make people look younger, as opposed to large procedures once in a lifetime that make you look like a cartoon. I see a lot of celebrities and pseudo-celebrities and bring more B, C and D-listers to the stage as the show progresses.

Us: What makes this season different than those past?
WK: I bring a more youthful element to the show. A lot of the [featured] doctors tend to be concerned with things like how their kids are going to do in school and re-doing their kitchen…that’s great but that doesn’t have anything to do with my life. My life has a lot more to do with dating, having fun and partying in the Hollywood scene.

Us: How will this reality role be different from your time on Big Brother?
WK: I don’t define myself by that crappy reality show, I define myself by a brand new crappy reality show! [pauses] Just kidding. Big Brother is a competition, based on the way I play the game, and obviously I do it well because I was on for two seasons. I think there’s a correlation between manipulation and intelligence. I’m a great mental competitor, but the only correlation between that and my medical practice is that you have to be intelligent to win Big Brother and you have to be intelligent to be a physician.

Us: Do you plan to again assume the role of the reality contestant viewers love to hate?
WK: Let’s not kid ourselves here. I’m the most egotistical person I know, but I think it’s important to have a doctor who is very confident. I believe in the P.T. Barnum effect: say what you want, just spell my name right.

Hok Says Sayonara on So You Think You Can Dance

Hokuto "Hok" Konishi was one of my favorite contestants on FOX's hit show, So You Think You Can Dance, and I was sorry to see him leave last week. He has such a great spirit, hopefully this exposure will be a fantastic launching pad for him. He sat down to dish with the folks at TV Guide about the whole experience, and what's in store for him now. But the real unanswered question ... is there anything going on between him and Jaimie?

TVGuide.com: Do you think you deserved to go home?
Hok Konishi: That's a hard question, but I think that whatever the judges say, their decision is right. At this point in the show, anyone can go home, so it was meant to be.

TVGuide.com: For the last few weeks, the judges have been criticizing your performances while complimenting your partner Jaimie's. What was that like for you?
Hok: It was hard. I think it's my own fault — if I was a better dancer, that would have never happened. The judges were right, and it just pushes me to work even harder.

TVGuide.com: How do you feel about being kicked off while Jaimie continues with the show?
Hok: I'm actually really glad that she's still on the show because I would have felt guilty — well, I did feel guilty for even putting her in the bottom three two weeks in a row. I just hope she does the best with the competition.

TVGuide.com: How much work went into preparing for your solo?
Hok: Actually, I wasn't feeling it for some reason for the past couple of days, so it wasn't that good. The day before the results show, when I started practicing I twisted my back muscle really bad and after that I couldn't practice at all. I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to dance when it came down to the solo, so I'm glad that at least I was able to dance those 30 seconds.

TVGuide.com: If you hadn't gotten kicked off, would your back have been a problem going into the next week of the competition?
Hok: Well, it's feeling better already and when you're put in that position, you have to keep on going no matter what.

TVGuide.com: What were your rehearsals like with Jaimie?
Hok: It was fun. She's a great partner to work with and she's an amazing dancer. We worked together really well.

TVGuide.com: How was your chemistry?
Hok: It was good. I got to know her in Vegas so we didn't have to start from zero when we were put together as partners. We knew a little bit about each other, and that helped.

TVGuide.com: What was your favorite dance you did on the show?
Hok: It has to be Wade Robson's "Hummingbird and Flower" piece by far. It's actually funny because right before I went up on stage, instead of thinking and going over the steps again, I was just really picturing myself as a hummingbird and going into the garden. If you don't believe that you are the bird, then that can't come across in your dancing. And if you worry about the steps, that's going to show. Wade's amazing, not just as a dancer and a choreographer but also as an artist. The way he thinks really inspires me.

TVGuide.com: Because of the relationship you developed with Wade, was it difficult hearing criticism from him about your last duet with Jaimie?
Hok: It was, but I'm happy that he gave me criticism — it made sense. If he just said it was good, I would have been happy, but I wouldn't have learned anything. I loved the fact that he was hard and on point and that I was able to actually learn something from the critique.

TVGuide.com: Which style was the most difficult for you?
Hok: The waltz was a big challenge for me because the nature of my movements is completely opposite from everything they told me to do. With some choreography that I was used to, I could kind of guess what was coming up next, but with a completely new style, you have to learn all the specifics and you have to be focused on that, yet you can't show that in your face. It was definitely a challenge, but I had so much fun learning it.

TVGuide.com: What's your favorite memory from SYTYCD?
Hok: Everything. Just being around everyone and all of us going through it together, living together and learning new stuff every day. The experience of being with all the contestants was such a blessing for me and I'm just so sad that I can't continue on with that journey.

TVGuide.com: Do you think you will stay in touch with everyone?
Hok: Definitely. This is something that's going to last a lifetime.

TVGuide.com: What's next for you?
Hok: I think I'll rest for a couple of days and then start my training again, just become a better dancer. If possible, I would like to use this exposure to be able to travel to different places around the world and show my dancing to people and hopefully inspire them.

TVGuide.com: Who do you think will win?
Hok: I really don't know. This show could go either way, but what I can say is that everyone on the show is just truly amazing. They're blessed with talent and they have great personalities. I just think they're different colors on a palette, so it just comes down to what America likes.

So You Think You Can Dance Says Goodbye to Anya

Last week, we said goodbye to 26-year-old So You Think You Can Dance contestant Anya Garnis. She was the oldest female competitor on the show and clearly a judges' favorite, along with her show partner, Danny, who stayed. TV Guide sat down with her to catch up on her feelings about being on the show, and her costume collection.

TVGuide.com: Do you think you deserved to go home?
Anya Garnis: Based on the feedback from the judges throughout the whole competition and my solo last night, I don't think I deserved to be sent home. But it's really not up to me and I know that. I don't have any regrets. I did my best and I really danced my heart out.

TVGuide.com: Since the judges seemed to really like your performance, did being in the bottom three come as a surprise?
Anya: Being in the bottom two the two weeks before that, I was hoping our dance would come across a little bit stronger. But I was kind of prepared because it's been six weeks and now it's more about the personality, and people really have their favorites. I appreciated that the judges really loved the dance because I felt like as a couple it was our best performance on the show.

TVGuide.com: What was it like to get kicked off but have your partner, Danny Tidwell, stay?
Anya: Danny had gotten some criticism earlier and I'm happy that he has an opportunity to show America more of what he's all about. He's truly an amazing person and performer.

TVGuide.com: How were your rehearsals with Danny?
Anya: We worked really great together. I felt like we had a good balance because for the things that I didn't remember, he would help me out and for the things he didn't remember, I would help him out.

TVGuide.com: And how was your chemistry?
Anya: Really good. Danny is such a wonderful person, such a goofball, and he's always so funny. I don't know where the controversy came from about his personality, but it's a reality-TV show and you just have 20 seconds to show the audience who you are as a person. But honestly, he's just an amazingly talented dancer and partner.

TVGuide.com: You and Pasha have been partners for a long time. Were you competitive or supportive on the show?
Anya: Really supportive! I've known Pasha for a really long time — he's my best friend. I'm still going to be really supportive of him and I'm really excited that he's gotten through. Hopefully I'll see him up there in the top four.

TVGuide.com: Is it difficult to see him continue when he didn't want to audition in the first place?
Anya: No. Once he made the decision, he was completely 150 percent there. I knew that when he decided to come with me to the audition and be there with me, that was his choice. He changed his mind and he admitted that it's his life now.

TVGuide.com: What was your favorite dance you did on the show?
Anya: Even though we got a little bit of criticism, I would say it was my contemporary dance. I felt like there was such a deep story behind that. I've never done that style before and I felt like there was more free movement and such a great connection between Danny and me. I felt I truly expressed myself and I brought the story across — at least that's what I'd like to think.

TVGuide.com: Which style was most difficult for you?
Anya: Hip-hop was really tough for me because the choreography was based on the sound, not the major count. It was pretty tough for me to hear those sounds and not the beat. [Laughs] That was a challenge for me.

TVGuide.com: You've worn some pretty interesting costumes on the show for your solos. Do you make them?
Anya: I design them, but I have a dressmaker in NYC who makes them. I thought I would have more of a chance to show America my costumes — I had quite a suitcase with me. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Are these the costumes you wore in competitions with Pasha?
Anya: Yeah, some of the costumes I didn't want to give away or sell because I have so many memories with them. With one costume I made the world final, another I made the U.S. final. I kind of collect them, I guess.

TVGuide.com: Who was the first person you called after you found out?
Anya: It was Pasha who called me. So many people were calling, but I picked it up [when he called] because he knew how I felt and he knows me better than anyone else. After I danced my solo, he had come up to me to tell me that he'd never seen me dance like that before because I had such energy. I really believed him because he's always really, really honest. Sometimes too honest. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Did you get to speak to anyone else?
Anya: I had to leave right away because I had to move. But I also felt that I didn't want to spoil anything. I wanted to let them celebrate the top 10. I want to be part of it as well, but I didn't want to spoil the evening, because at the end of the day it's tough putting your heart out there every week, working that hard. I felt that they deserved to celebrate and enjoy the moment. It happens only once in your life.

TVGuide.com: Has it sunk in yet that your journey on the show is over?
Anya: I think it will hit me later tonight.

TVGuide.com: What's the first thing you'll do tomorrow?
Anya: I think I'm just going to relax, get my thoughts together and see what's out there. I'll move forward — there is definitely life after this. It's just the beginning because this was a great opportunity, and I appreciate the judges who saw something in me and put me on that stage to begin with.

TVGuide.com: What's next for you?
Anya: I truly believe that if one door closes, another will open. I feel that something will definitely open up because I truly believe in what I have in me and my passion and what I can bring across. I will take any opportunity just to grow as an artist.

TVGuide.com: Now that you're gone, who do you think will win?
Anya: It's hard to say. I believe that any of the contestants deserves to win, but it's going to be really difficult to decide. I think you can see the progress in every single person, every single week, and it's really just fascinating to see. As a dancer, I appreciate that.

Val Kilmer to Hit the Small Screen

Movie star Val Kilmer is heading for the small screen this Fall, with an upcoming appearance scheduled for the season premiere of Numb3rs, airing on September 28th.

One of the shows' stars, David Krumholtz (Charlie) is very excited about the news, telling TV Guide, "It's a double whammy!" says David. "We've had a lot of great actors on the show, but Val takes the cake. Val played the original math and science genius in Real Genius," reminds Krumholtz. "That was shot at Cal Tech, which is where we shoot our show. Val is revisiting his old roots as an actor."

He goes on to say, "He's one of the most provocative actors. It proves our show is a cut above the rest to attract actors like him. Hopefully this will get more eyes on our show."

Criminal Minds Star Shemar Moore On Probation

Criminal Minds actor Shemar Moore was arrested on June 1st after being stopped for speeding. He was officially charged on June 22 with a DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or above, said Frank Mateljan, city attorney spokesman.

He has now been sentenced to 3 years of probation and 80 hours of community service after pleading no contest in an alcohol-related speeding case. As part of his plea arrangement, he had to plead no contest to a misdemeanor count of exhibition of speed, and the DUI charges were then dropped.

"I'm a serious and conscientious person by nature, but my one vice is driving fast, and it unfortunately took something like this for me to take stock and slow down," the actor said in a statement last month.

Another Day, More Trouble for Lindsay Lohan

The non-stop party girl is back in trouble again. It seems even her alcohol monitoring bracelet wasn't enough to keep her out of trouble. Lindsay's attorney, Blair Berk, issued the following statement to TMZ:

"Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care."

Matt Leinart's Baby Mama Speaks Out

NFL Quarterback Matt Leinart has been yapping lately about how great it is being a new dad and all, but the mother of his 9-month-old son begs to differ.

Brynn Cameron, a USC women's basketball player, and former girlfriend of Matt, has been pretty much raising their son, Cole, on her own. In a recent interview with Ventura County Star, she said, "It's kind of hard for me as the mom — I'm with Cole probably 99.9 percent of the time — to open a magazine or read a newspaper article with Matt saying, Oh, I love being a dad. I love changing diapers. I love doing this. I'm like, Wait, what?' I don't know how to word how he is about this, but it's been hard when I'm doing all the work, but he gets all the credit for it."

She said that Matt "comes and goes whenever he wants. I don't want to sit here and bad-mouth his lifestyle, but it is hard because we are different people. He likes that Hollywood stuff and I don't like that and raising a kid together, you have to work together as parents, but we're so different. It's hard, but I have to raise Cole to be a strong, secure kid so he knows what's right and wrong, what's good and bad and what really matters in life, which isn't what's going on in Hollywood or who's dating who. That's not what it's all about, and I think he'll know that being raised by me."

Seems like he's following in the footsteps of Eddie Murphy. But, well, at least Matt accepted the fact that he's a dad.

Drew Carey Named New Host of The Price Is Right

At long last, a successor to Bob Barker's throne has been named. Even though plenty of others wanted it (i.e., Rosie O'Donnell and Mario Lopez to name a few) and vied for the title, funnyman Drew Carey has walked away with the crown.

He revealed the news last night on David Letterman.

"It was like 15 minutes ago, they called me, it's a done deal," comedian Drew Carey said. "I'm the new host of 'The Price Is Right.'"

Carey told Letterman, "As long as Bob Barker is cool with it, the fans will be cool with it."

"I'm cool with it," Barker told The Associated Press after hearing what Carey said.

Although they have yet to meet, Bob Barker gave Carey a few words of wisdom: "Go out there and do that show the way you think it should be done. Don't imitate me and don't imitate anyone else."

Dawson's Creek Cast Member to Join CSI: NY

Dawson's Creek cast member Kerr Smith has signed on to join the cast of CSI: NY this Fall as both an expert in forged documents and a new love interest for Melina Kanakaredes' character, Stella. So far, I can't picture the two of them together, but I'm sure they'll make it work.

The show's executive producer Pam Veasey said, "Well, he pretends to be an expert in forged documents. He has a mysterious background that we are slowly developing. He's a love interest who has an ulterior motive."

Smith was also on the short-lived show Justice.

Shauna Noland Says Bye-Bye on So You Think You Can Dance

Along with Cedric, last week we also said good-bye to Shauna Noland, an 18-year-old blonde that was paired with both Cedric and Jimmy. After she left, she sat down with TV Guide to dish about her lack of air-time during auditions and what's in store for her in the future. Tune in tonight to see who else goes home.

TVGuide.com: Do you think you deserved to go home?
Shauna Noland: At this point, no one really deserves to go home. But they have to get rid of two people, so it was just my time to go.

TVGuide.com: Some of the other dancers, like Lacey and Hok, were featured frequently in the audition episodes, but not you. Why do you think that is?
Shauna: If I could figure that out, I'd be so happy. [Laughs] I have no idea. From Day 1 of auditions, they know what they're doing and I think they sort of had it all planned out. Who knows why they didn't show me?

TVGuide.com: Do you feel that affected your connection with the audience?
Shauna: Yeah, I do think so. When it first started, everyone was like, "Who's the blonde girl?" It definitely would have helped if I had been seen in the auditions, but there's not much I can do about that now.

TVGuide.com: How much work went into preparing for your final solo?
Shauna: For me, doing a solo is very mental. I like to have a plan of where I'm going to go on stage for what parts, but I don't actually plan out my solo, because I think that when you're up on stage dancing for your life, it brings out a lot more emotions than it would at the studio choreographing it. I feel more, like, real and in the moment when I just improv on stage and let my emotions speak for me.

TVGuide.com: You have a few signature moves, like the spiral spin with the leg raise. Did you learn or create that?
Shauna: The leg turn I started doing when I was probably about 13. It was something I was playing around with at the studio and I just thought it was fun. My teacher thought it was cool and told me to practice it to get it consistent. From then on, I just worked on it and slowly started doing more turns, adding to it, and putting it at the end of different turn sequences.

TVGuide.com: What were rehearsals like with your first partner, Jimmy, and your second partner, Cedric?
Shauna: Rehearsals with Jimmy were awesome. We were both comfortable with the styles that we got, so that really helped because we were just having fun. With Cedric, it was awesome as well, but the styles were harder.

TVGuide.com: And how was your chemistry with them?
Shauna: I didn't really know Jimmy before we got paired together, so that was kind of rough. We almost got closer after he got kicked off the show, which was unfortunate. He would call me all the time and ask how I was doing. And with Cedric, I had gotten to know him before we were partners, so that helped.

TVGuide.com: What was your favorite dance on the show?
Shauna: I don't know. Broadway wasn't really my style of Broadway, hip-hop wasn't really my style of hip-hop, contemporary wasn't really my style of contemporary.... I felt like a lot of it wasn't really me and didn't show a lot of who I was. But based on that, my favorite would probably be hip-hop or contemporary.

TVGuide.com: Who was your favorite choreographer?
Shauna: Tyce [Diorio]. He does a great job making the dancers feel comfortable doing his work and understanding it.

TVGuide.com: What style was the most difficult for you?
Shauna: Definitely the mambo. It's the total opposite of what I'm used to. I'm used to ballet arms and posture and it's all bent. It's hard.

TVGuide.com: Which body part hurts the most?
Shauna: My feet. [Laughs] They're kind of a disaster right now, I have blisters everywhere and my toes are all split and one of my toenails is about to fall off.

TVGuide.com: So no sandals anytime soon?
Shauna: No sandals. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Who were you rooming with?
Shauna: Lacey, Jamie and Lauren. We had a blast — it was an awesome room.

TVGuide.com: How long did you cry after you found out you were going?
Shauna: I had totally prepared myself for it. I don't know why, but I had a strange feeling that I was going to go home, so when they said it to me, I actually was fine. I was smiling and thinking, "Bummer, but oh well." But as soon as the [video montage] played, I started crying — only because they put it to such sad music! I went up to [executive producer/judge] Nigel [Lythgoe] afterwards and said, "Can we change that music? Because it made me cry."

TVGuide.com: Has it sunk in yet?
Shauna: Yeah, I'm a realistic person, so I'm not going to dwell on it. I'm a strong believer that things happen for a reason, so I know that it's just time for me to move on and do other things.

TVGuide.com: Such as?
Shauna: I'm going to continue auditioning and dancing. Being at the premiere of Hairspray and talking to all those people really made me realize how much I want to do other stuff, too. I think I'm going to start getting into acting and singing a lot more as well.

TVGuide.com: Now that you're gone, who do you think will win?
Shauna: At this point, I have no idea because everyone is so different and they're throwing a lot of twists, like last week with Jessi and Jesús. No one knows what's going to happen.

Squeaky-clean actress Anne Hathaway of Brokeback Mountain and The Devil Wears Prada Fame lets loose in her Marie Claire interview for the magazine's August issue. Here are a few excerpts from the 24-year-old's mouth:

"I love [the band] Peaches. When people are all like, 'Do you think you have a squeaky-clean image?' I'm like, 'Could a squeaky-clean girl know all the lyrics to 'Teaches of Peaches'? I mean, my favorite song is called 'F—k the Pain Away.'"

"I'm not a walking one-woman drama show. I'm pretty bad entertainment – I'm not particularly well dressed, and I haven't graduated from college. I think you should like Natalie Portman a lot more."

"I don't actively search for [movies] that I can get naked in. It's not the most fun requirement of the job, but nor is it something that I would ever NOT do a job because of. It is what it is. Some people choose not to do it on moral grounds; I think that's a shoddy argument. I turned down another movie because it was going to show a vagina – not mine, but somebody else's. And I didn’t believe that it was actually necessary to the story."

So You Think You Can Dance's Cedric Talks

Last week, we said good-bye to Cedric Gardner, 23, from the hit FOX show, So You Think You Can Dance. I really felt bad for him, the way the judges kept beating him up week after week. But he took their criticisms and negativity with stride and a great attitude, improving with each step. He recently sat down with TV Guide to dish about his stint on the show, and what's in store for him in the future.

TVGuide.com: Do you think you deserved to go home?
Cedric Gardner: Yes. I think I deserved to go home three weeks ago.

TVGuide.com: So when Nigel and the other judges said that you weren't improving and that you let your partner down....
Cedric: They were right, and if they didn't give me feedback, I wouldn't have learned.

TVGuide.com: How much work went into preparing for your solo?
Cedric: I was just freestyling.

TVGuide.com: You danced first with Faina, then with Shauna. How was it different with your two partners?
Cedric: I was closer with Shauna. We had a lot of fun. She was really supportive of the fact that I hadn't learned any of this before.

TVGuide.com: Which body part now hurts the most?
Cedric: None of them. I kind of got a knee problem, but it's nothing severe like everyone else. My body doesn't break up that easily.

TVGuide.com: What's your favorite memory from the show?
Cedric: My favorite memory is just cooking every night with Hok, Dominic, Jesús and Danny at our house. If we had time, we'd all cook together and just eat at the table and make jokes — mainly about me. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Was it hard saying goodbye to two people every week?
Cedric: To see Jesús and Ricky go, and definitely to see Jimmy go, was hard because in my heart I felt like I should be leaving. The hardest part for me personally was the fact that I was still on the show, and knowing that I had all of these chances to keep proving myself.

TVGuide.com: Do you think you'll stay in touch with the other dancers?
Cedric: Yeah. We're a really close family. I've already talked to a couple of them this morning.

TVGuide.com: After you were eliminated, who did you call first?
Cedric: My girlfriend in Wisconsin, and then my phone died, so that was it. My parents were already here.

TVGuide.com: Has it sunk in that your SYTYCD journey is over?
Cedric: It sank in like two or three weeks ago, to be honest with you. I never joined this show to win it, I just wanted to learn from it.

TVGuide.com: What's the first thing you'll do tomorrow?
Cedric: I'll probably go to my mom and dad's store and help out. Sell some cookies. We own [a] Nestlé Tollhouse cookies [franchise store] in California. So I'll do that, spend some time at the golf course and play basketball or something. After tomorrow, it starts again. I'm going to just start studying right away. I want to be able to turn better than Danny!

TVGuide.com: Will you take Debbie Allen up on her offer of attending her dance school?
Cedric: Most definitely! I also got a toy-company offer that a lot of people don't know about. Wild Animal Planet wants me to come out to San Francisco for a week or so for a trip to their toy company to see how it's done, because that's my other ambition. I want to own my own toy company.

TVGuide.com: What will you take away from the show?
Cedric: The whole experience of working with some of the best dancers in the world. Everything has just been such a blessing.

TVGuide.com: Who do you think will win?
Cedric: Everybody's done such a good job, it's hard to predict. But, the way I'm looking at it, I think it'll definitely be a hip-hop dancer or a girl. It has to be that way because of karma and the universe.

TVGuide.com: Did you and Shauna say anything to each other after the results show?
Cedric: Yeah. The thing about Shauna and me is that we both believe the same thing — if it's meant to be, then it's fine. Everything happens for a reason.

First Big Brother Cast-Off Speaks

Carol Journey has the distinct honor of being the first houseguest to leave the Big Brother 8 house, and she is quite happy about it, surprisingly enough. TV Guide recently sat down with her to get the behind-the-scenes dish on her very-short experience.

TVGuide.com: You seemed to know that you'd be evicted.
Carol Journey: I made it very clear that I wanted to go home, that it wasn't necessarily my cup of tea. I'm excited to go home. I'm... pretty thrilled, actually.

TVGuide.com: When you heard that some houseguests would be living with people from their past, were you shocked to see Jessica walking down those stairs?
Carol: I thought it had to be a joke. I honestly thought that our fight from eighth grade, when we were 13 years old, was just so petty and minuscule that it was nothing like the conflicts between the other houseguests. I was very surprised to see her.

TVGuide.com: Jessica said that it all started over a $5 loan.
Carol: She is so full of it, I can't even handle it. I don't remember what the conflict was about, but I doubt that $5 would ruin a three-year friendship and cause me not to talk to a person for seven years. I did not hold on to this at all, but she's obviously still holding a grudge.

TVGuide.com: She's got quite a grating voice.
Carol: I'm glad somebody else noticed that besides me. She's always sounded like the ditz.

TVGuide.com: But on to the other houseguests: What's up with Jen and those "Jenius" T-shirts?
Carol: You can't take her seriously. It's more of a joke. I found it very humorous. I'm not gonna lie — the first few days I found her hard to swallow, but as I got to know her, she was a great girl. [Jen's was the one vote cast for Amber, to keep Carol in the house.] I'm glad she won HoH; I hope she kicks ass.

TVGuide.com: Who do you want her to put up?
Carol: Jessica and Daniele. [Update: At the nomination ceremony on Sunday, Jen put Daniele and her father, Dick, on the block.] Daniele was two-faced throughout the whole process, very much like Jessica; I think that's why the two of them got along so well. Daniele is not a very nice person, to be quite honest. You'll see it. It'll come out, I promise.

TVGuide.com: So is Nick going to hook up with someone?
Carol: Nick is the Casanova. I could see him and Daniele hooking up within a few weeks. But I don't think any of the other girls are dumb enough to fall for it.

TVGuide.com: But Daniele has a boyfriend back home.
Carol: I still think they're gonna hook up. I mean, Daniele "talks" about having a boyfriend, but for someone with a boyfriend [she and Nick] got really close and personal. I feel bad for her boyfriend.

TVGuide.com: Did Amber cry all the time in front of you guys, or just in the confessionals?
Carol: Amber was quite the crier. She was scared and didn't want to go home; she didn't want to disappoint her family. I think it was genuine, all the crying, but it got a little excessive.

TVGuide.com: Any thoughts on Evil Dick?
Carol: Evil Dick was a good person to have debates and discussions with, but the vulgar and crude vocabulary was a little unnerving. He said things that I found... disturbing. And he revealed himself several times. But when he wasn't being disgusting and perverted, he was fun to talk to.

TVGuide.com: Did you have any inkling that Eric was "America's Player"?
Carol: What's America's Player?

TVGuide.com: America's voting online for him to accomplish different tasks. This is news to you?
Carol: Very much so. I don't know anything about it.

TVGuide.com: What's your impression of him?
Carol: I thought Eric was a pretty good guy, all in all. He was very entertaining. I think all of them are good people, but I'm afraid I'm going to see their true colors when I actually get to watch the show.

TVGuide.com: What did you take away from your brief time in the house?
Carol: I definitely had an eye-opening experience with the whole gay community. I'd never really learned anything about it before, but I learned a lot from Joe and Dustin. I took something out of my conversations with them — and they're two of the very few people I can say that about.

TVGuide.com: Who do you think will win?
Carol: It'll be between Kail and Mike... Kail because she's smart; she is playing the game in a fair, honest way, with integrity. She's not sacrificing her morals. And Mike is just too quiet to trust. I feel like he's got something brewing in there, just getting ready to come out.

TVGuide.com: Did you make any friendships that will last?
Carol: I can see myself staying in contact with Jen, Kail and Joe, maybe Eric and maybe Dustin.

TVGuide.com: But definitely not Jessica.
Carol: I have no intention of ever being friends with her. Not gonna happen. I can't even call her an acquaintance anymore.

TVGuide.com: She said maybe she'd see you at your reunion in 10 years....
Carol: Our reunion will be in seven years — that just shows how intelligent she is.

Trump's Ratings Brainstorm Gets a No-Go from Ro

Donald Trump's show, The Apprentice, finally got the green light from NBC for another season. Yesterday when the good news came down, Donald and NBC execs mentioned that they thought Rosie O'Donnell would be a great addition to an episode. NBC Entertainment chief Ben Silverman told reporters yesterday, "It would be great to have Rosie [O'Donnell] on. Donald personally told me to extend an invitation to her." Honestly, after all the waging war of words The Donald and Rosie exchanged, did he really think she'd say yes? Well, if he did, he's outta luck, because her spokesperson told the AP, "It will never happen in this lifetime or beyond."

It's Official: Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn Finally Wed

In what has to be the longest engagement in Hollywood history (or it at least certainly felt like it!), actress/model Rebecca Romijn finally walked down the aisle and wed actor Jerry O'Connell this weekend in LA. Jerry, brother of The Bachelor Charlie, actually proposed nearly two years ago, in September 2005. Given Rebecca already has one divorce under her belt (to actor John Stamos), caution and time probably wasn't such a bad idea.

The two married in an "intimate ceremony." I love when they say "intimate" ceremony. This "intimate" one had 100 family and friends of the couple. Intimate? Yeah, not so much, unless it's by Hollywood standards.

The duo's two pups, Taco and Better, were also part of the festivities, decked out in black bow ties.

Rebecca can be seen in ABC's comedy Ugly Betty, and Jerry goes back to work this fall, starring in a new comedy from ABC - Carpoolers.

It's Official: Mandy Patinkin Closes Door to Criminal Minds

As we reported last week, there was much unrest on the CBS set of Criminal Minds, namely with the show's lead actor Mandy Patinkin. The show's executive producer recently posted the below update on the very popular Criminal Minds fansite, which was quickly followed by the official word that Mandy has requested to be let out of his contract, and granted said request. What the heck is he thinking?

"There have been several reports recently in the media about the Mandy Patinkin situation on Criminal Minds. Firstly, they are true — Mr. Patinkin has left the show. What's troubling to us, though, is that the reports tend to suggest or hint that the producers, the studios or CBS have something to do with what has happened. Phrases like 'maybe cooler heads will prevail... ' and the like have been used. Let me make this clear: This is not about a contract renegotiation, this is not about money, this is not about something Mr. Patinkin asked for that wasn't provided — in fact, everyone involved in the show has for two years bent over backward to give him anything he wanted.

Mr. Patinkin told the show, the studios and the network that he was returning right up to the day before we started shooting the first episode, and then simply did not show up. He also has not contacted anyone within the show (producers, cast, crew) to explain why he isn't returning. Even to this moment, we have no word from him. He gave us no advance notice that anything was wrong, no oppurtunity to find a way to make the loss of this character work, no indication that we should be looking for someone else, no warning that we might have to rewrite the first seven scripts (which is how far ahead we try to work) without the central character in them. None. Zero. He was not, as some media reports have indicated, written 'lightly' in our first episode; in fact, it was quite the opposite. Because of the construct of the first episode story, he was actually in the center of that episode. He left us completely in the proverbial lurch.

As loyal fans of the show, we think you all deserve an explanation and I wish I had a better one to give you. The most amazing writing staff in television is working very hard to find a way to make this work, and we will find a way to give you the organic, dramatic experience you expect from CM.

If I have new news I will provide it, and if there are questions you have... we will do our best to answer. If you hear a rumor, please ask us. I remain touched and humbled by the support you have all shown the show.

Thank you so much,
Ed Bernero

Posh Spice Really HAS a Personality!

Although her pictures have been plastered seemingly everywhere, we very rarely actually hear Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) actually speak. Surprisingly enough, she has quite a fun, albeit normal, personality. She has a one-hour special airing tonight on NBC, but if you can't wait, you can check out the below clip of a little visit she had with fellow gossip blogger, Perez Hilton. She made a comment on the Today show last week that she's sure people in America think she's a miserable cow that doesn't smile, but quite the contrary -- now that we get a glimpse into her personality, she's actually quite cute.

Zac Efron Tapped for Footloose Lead

High School Musical star Zac Efron has signed on to pick up where Kevin Bacon left off -- in a musical remake of the movie Footloose. Brought to us by Paramount, Kenny Ortega is also back in the picture, both as choreographer and director. Loved this movie from 1984 - can't wait to see the new one.
