It's Official: The Bachelor Chooses His Girl
Longtime readers of Glitter & Gossip may remember I hoped Sadie would make it to the end, but if our story about Lorenzo already flirting with others was true, I also hoped he didn't pick her. Was I on the money or what? The Bachelor of Rome picked Jennifer, the 8th grade school teacher from Florida. This is a mistmatch for a multitude of reasons, but I'm glad it ended the way it did.
When Jennifer and Sadie were talking with their parents, after the parents had a chance to meet Lorenzo, Sadie was focusing on Lorenzo, saying what a wonderful guy he was, how she was surprised she fell for him, listing all his great qualities, etc. Jennifer? "I can't believe I could be engaged tomorrow! A Princess!" Nothing about why she felt the way she did for Lorenzo, assuming she loved him. Same thing when the girls met his parents. Lorenzo's mom, Princess Amanda Borghese, asked Jennifer what she loved about Lorenzo and Jennifer's reponse was that he'd make a wonderful husband and father ... that may be true, but why? What qualities made you fall for him?
Again, when the girls were getting ready to go see Lorenzo, Sadie was all about her emotions, how she feels about him and more, while Jennifer wasn't.
I was sorry to see Sadie get hurt, because I think she truly fell for him, but maybe now that she's opened up her heart, she can learn to love and trust again. I'm glad he didn't propose, because I don't see this one lasting, but in the meantime, I hope they enjoy their time together.
For those interested in the ring, his mom helped design it, and it truly is a looker.
And hello Spring 2007. Did you catch a look at the hottie they chose for the next Bachelor? He seems to have it all, and any man who says, "Gosh, darnit," has me hooked for sure.

I think he didn't really love either one and picked Jenn thinking she would be able to handle the break up better in the end. I felt the same way as you about Sadie!
