It's Official: Survivor Creator Mark Burnett to Wed Actress Roma Downey

Reality show creator/producer Mark Burnett and Touched by an Angel actress Roma Downey got engaged over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Their mouthpiece, Jim Dowd, told People magazine, "The couple has never been happier. They're sharing their joy and excitement with their children and their families."

Burnett and Downey were in Zihuatanejo, Mexico for a Thanksgiving vacation, and he got down on one knee to pop the question the old-fashioned way.

Her daughter, Reilly, from a previous marriage and his sons James and Cameron, from a prior marriage, were all there to witness the proposal.

They started dating nearly three years ago and plan to marry in 2007.
