Nicole Kidman (1), Julia Roberts (0)
Reuters reports that for the first time in five years, Julia Roberts does not top the list of highest-paid actresses in Hollywood. For 2006, the honor goes to Nicole Kidman. She earned an estimated $16 million to $17 million per movie, but still has not topped the $20 million per movie earned by Roberts, 39, before she put her career on hold to have kidlets.
Roberts fell entirely off the list of the highest-paid actresses because she did not star in a movie released during 2006. In the name of girl power, I must also report that none of the women on th top 10 list came even close to the $25 million salary that men like Tom Cruise or Jim Carrey get. Bastards.
Other actresses on the list inlcude Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. Each earned an estimated $15 million per film. Halle Berry, Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie earned $14 million, $10 million and $10 million, respectively. Kirsten Dunst earns between $8 million and $10 million and Jennifer Aniston earns an estimated $8 million per film.
