The Peach Pit Gang - Together Again
I loved watching Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place. Those were the days, right? Now The OC and One Tree Hill have taken their place. While those shows are good too, I miss the love triangle of Kelly, Dylan and Brenda, the sideburn showdown between Dylan and Brandon and the geeky ways of David.
But they're back (most of them), if only for a brief minute. The cast of Beverly Hills, 90210 (except Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry) reunited in Beverly Hills recently to celebrate the DVD release of the show's 1990 debut season.
"We always worked hard to stay together as a cast," Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh). He was flanked by a five-months-pregnant Tori Spelling (the chaste Donna Martin), Jennie Garth (Kelly), Ian Ziering (Steve), Brian Austin Green (David) and Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea).
This was Jennie Garth's first time out since having her third daughter, Fiona Eve, at the end of September.
But true to form, stars will be stars. "The stars, some of whom had seen each other at Priestley's 2005 wedding, almost didn't show up for the event – some cast members discussed skipping the launch because they won't benefit financially from DVD sales, which were not written into their original contracts.
But Ziering, 40, helped bring the group together. "I called up the guys, and we all got together for lunch to talk about this whole DVD party," he said. "The product of 9-0 is very powerful all over the world, and we wanted to make sure that everybody was recognized fairly."
The party also celebrated the first-season DVD release of 90210 spin-off Melrose Place."
We miss you guys! Steve is 40?! Wow. When did THAT happen?
