Tom Cruise Gets the Hint
So, what do you do if you have a crapload of money, but everyone in Hollywood thinks you're nuts and doesn't want to work with you? You open your own studio! Tom Cruise has done just that.
E! Online reports that the couch-jumper has teamed up with a producing partner to reform United Artists (which is referred to as "long-defunct"). They will start by producing four films a year and go from there.
Tom's role will be as a producer and sometimes star, but he will star in other studios' movies as well. He will not be the CEO of the studio. If he were, we'd probably be stuck with desperate attempts to get back at South Park or films dedicated entirely to Xenu.
