Dave Letterman's Contract Renewed
It must be all those fights with Bill O'Reilly. Whatever it is, the AP reports that CBS decided to renew Dave Letterman's contract through 2010. This means that Letterman will be on the air longer than Jay Leno, who says that he will give up the Tonight show in 2009 so that Conan O'Brien will get his chance.
Sources say Letterman will make an estimated $30 million a year. Yowzer. In true Letterman form, Dave had a good wisecrack to share:

"I'm thrilled to be continuing on at CBS," Letterman, 59, said. "At my age you really don't want to have to learn a new commute."

Letterman has the Top 10 and Great Moments in Presidential Speeches. He should add Awkward Apologies to the list.
I can't believe an adult wrote "yowzer". What the hell is that?
Hairy Carrot - buddy, loosen up! Life's too short to not use the word yowzer as an adult! I also rely on various other interjections such as "geez," "holy cow," and "good lord." Try them sometime, along with yowzer. It's therapeutic.
