Hilary Duff is a Good Role Model
And now she'll be a Barbie doll as well. Maybe Paris and Britney can take lessons from Hilary about how to properly conduct themselves. She works hard, is close with her family, and you never hear stories of all-night partying.
You can now take her home with you, in the form of the Red Carpet Glam Hilary Duff Doll, appearing at your local toy stores just in time for last minute holiday shopping. Dressed in a polka-dot dress with a red satin sash, Hilary also designed several other outfits for her doll likeness. It's not the first time Hilary has designed clothes; she has her own fashion line, Stuff by Duff, for the tween set.
"It was really cool to work with Mattel's designers and my own team, using styles and themes inspired by my own stuff by hilary duff 'tween fashion label to create a fashion collection for Barbie. I've always been a big fan of Barbie - she's the most fashionable doll in the world and so many top fashion designers have designed for her. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to lend my own ideas and design inspirations to Barbie doll's look and I know girls are going to love it!" said Hilary. "When I was younger, I was so inspired by Barbie. She has been a role model for my friends and me, I love her style and her spirit!"
Mattel's Vice President of Barbie Marketing (yes, there really is such a title!), Jamie Wood, said in a statement that "Duff and Barbie are great role models to girls and the perfect design duo. Not only are they two of the most stylish entertainers, actors and fashion designers, but they also show girls there are no limits to what they can do."
She's been the "face" of Barbie for nearly two years now, but now she is lending her talents to the design end as well.
