Paris Hilton Exits Stage Left

First Britney Spears backs out of her hosting duties for Monday's Billboard Music Awards, only the day after she agreed to do it. Now her co-host, Paris Hilton, has backed out as well. The biggest question is why the show had no host scheduled the week before it airs, but now what are they going to do? Saturday night and no host.

Paris' rep Elliot Mintz said that she backed out because she wasn't happy with the jokes written for her.

"It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers," Mintz, said in a statement today. "Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows."

The Billboard Music Awards will be aired live from Las Vegas on Monday, on FOX at 8 pm EST. Sure wish I was a fly on the wall of their office to see their last minute scramble.
