Newsstand Friday: OK Magazine
KATIE HOLMES
The most unlikely source is concerned for her welfare
As Katie Holmes falls even deeper under husband Tom Cruise’s control, his former wife Nicole Kidman is speaking out. The 39-year-old actress, who knows all too well about what Katie is going through, has been expressing concern over the pressure for Katie to practice Tom’s lifestyle and religious beliefs. “Nicole got out,” a source close to the Bewitched beauty tells OK!. “[She] is the one person in the world who lived it and thankfully found the strength to leave.”
JENNIFER ANISTON
She’s permanently put Angelina in the past, and is moving on with her future!
Jennifer Aniston isn’t letting her failed marriage to Brad Pitt or her split from Vince Vaughn get her down. The former Friends actress is stronger than ever. “Jen has become much more self-sufficient since she and Brad split,” one Hollywood insider divulges to OK!. That includes dining on her own, taking massages and one-on-one yoga classes and shopping for her new $15-million home in the Hollywood Hills. “Jen really does prefer the quiet life,” says one observer. “That’s probably why she and Vince Vaughn didn’t last.”
BRITNEY SPEARS
Britney’s determined to get her men back
Britney Spears has only been out of rehab a few days, but the woman is on a mission. The pop princess, who’s been taking hip-hop classes since her release, is focusing on work so that her first love, Justin Timberlake, will make good on his promise to help her with her comeback. “Britney still cares about Justin,” one of her relatives tells OK!. “She wants him back in her life as a friend and ally in the music business. It’s only a matter of time before they get together.” But Britney has also been spending time with her estranged husband, Kevin Federline, inciting whispers of the couple getting back together.
IDOL MANIA
Could a teen dream be the next American Idol?
It’s no surprise that Sanjaya Malakar has made the top ten, according to L.A. psychologist Dr. Robert Butterworth. Aside from the wholesome image that moms and teenage girls can relate to, his popularity has a lot to do with that now-famous head of hair. “Sanjaya also fits into the mold of previous teen idols,” like the Beatles, David Cassidy and Leif Garrett, says the doc.
