Eva Longoria and Tony Parker Are Engaged

People Magazine has confirmed that Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is engaged to Tony Parker, who is a NBA star with the San Antonio Spurs. Tony popped the question last night after flying to LA after his basketball game. He surprised Longoria as she got off work. Longoria's rep (who is paid to say vague things) said: "The proposal was romantic and perfect."

Longoria and Parker met in November 2004 and confirmed their couplehood to the press in August 2005.

The couple plans to wed in France next summer in what they describe as a "big, happy ceremony with lots of family and friends." There is a 7 year age difference between the two (Longoria is 31 and French-born Parker is 24).
