John Mayer NOT Dating Jessica Simpson

... or so he says.

A few days ago, they were photographed together at a Malibu restaurant, but singer John Mayer says they're not dating. At the American Music Awards on Tuesday, E!'s Ryan Seacrest cornered John to ask him the hard questions. When asked if they were dating, John said, "Uh, no." Ryan pushed and John added, "I don't know, man. I'm having a good time. I'm being good to the people that are good to me...I'm not trying to mess with anybody's mind. I didn't wake up one day and say, 'I'm tired of being me, let me go be somebody else'...I love playing music, and I'm having a lot of fun in my life."

It has also been confirmed that the pair did NOT spend Thanksgiving together. ESPN is reporting that Jessica is dating a Dallas Cowboys player, and given that she WAS in Dallas for the holiday, that one just may be true. Don't worry folks, we'll get to the bottom of it for you.
