The so-called Butterscotch Stallion (I'm sorry, a truly silly nickname), Owen Wilson, was spotted in Dallas on Friday ring shopping with his mom.

They were at the Harry Winston store at the Highland Park Mall and a witness reports, "They were looking at a huge, pear-shaped, flawless diamond engagement ring."

A rep for Owen said that they were looking for jewelry for his mother.

We shall see.
