Busta Rhymes in Trouble ... Again
Brooklyn-born rapper Busta Rhymes, 34, seems to be following in the footsteps of Snoop Dogg, banging up against the law again and again. He is facing a new weapons charge to go along nicely with that assault charge he got from a fight with a fan back in August.
The Manhattan DA's Office said that prosecutors filed a new complaint today in Manhattan Criminal Court, adding criminal possession of a weapon for a machete found in Rhymes' car.
Appearing before the judge using his real name, Trevor Smith, he didn't say a word during the proceedings, letting his lawyers do their thing.
This is all stemming from an incident on August 12, where he was accused of punching and kicking a fan who supposedly spat on his car. The fan was later treated at a local hospital for a concussion, split lip and wrist injury.
His next court date for the assault case is in February.
