Vanessa Minnillo to Exit Stage Left on TRL

MTV Total Request Live VJ and girlfriend of Nick Lachey has decided to hang up her mike and leave after four years. “I chose not to re-sign,” she said at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s annual gala at the Waldorf-Astoria last night. “I don’t want to be 48 going, ‘Hey kids, now it’s Sean Preston Spears’ video!’”

She's set to appear in a cameo in the upcoming "Fantastic Four" movie, and she and Nick just shacked up in his Manhattan home, but the future beyond that is an open slate. “I have had my run and I’m ready for the next chapter. What it is? I have no idea,” she says. “I don’t know if it’s going to be with a television show, with movies, with hosting, or maybe just even a family.” Hmmmm.

She went on tour with him, then on a Roman holiday, and now she's with him in Australia, where he is performing at the East Coast Blues & Roots Festival on Thursday. I hope that the explanation is that she has learned something and not just that she's in the mood to travel....

The April issue of Shape magazine has hit the newsstands and none other than MTV VJ and boyfriend of Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo is gracing the cover. The story is "How I Got This Body (Without a Trainer)" and also includes some stress-relieving tips from Vanessa.

It seems like ever since she hooked up with former Jessica Simpson husband, Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo's star has been on the rise. Besides her MTV VJ duties, she is also a Bongo Girl. Now we can add "cosmetic creator" to her resume. Vanessa, 26, has signed on to be a guest creator for Flirt! Cosmetics and will be developing a limited-edition collection that will be available at Kohl's in August. Wonder if they'll have a "perpetual prom girl" collection in the line? Meow!

And if that's not enough, and really, why should it be, she is also on the cover of the April issue of Shape magazine.

Pop songstress Jessica Simpson will be gracing the cover of the March issue of Elle magazine, looking way cuter than she has in a long time. In the magazine's interview with her she dishes on her career and life after Nick Lachey.

"I watched The Notebook on a plane home to Waco to go be with my grandparents. It's a great love story."

But this caught me by surprise. People reports that Lachey walked the runway "in Dolce & Gabbana at the GM Style event in Detroit on Saturday." His girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo was right there to watch him!

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are still going strong, if MTV's New Year's special is any indication. The two shared a steamy midnight kiss for all to see.

It appears that Vanessa may have over-celebrated a bit this year. She accidentally dropped the f-bomb when introducing Ciara, sat on Nick's lap for a ride to a party, and reportedly began "sucking down glass after glass of champagne. Soon her eyes are half closed, her head rolling around." US Weekly further reports that she kept "opening her legs and the ladies in her entourage physically shut them for her. Vanessa then straddles Nick and makes out with him passionately while her short skirt rides up." She fell off the furniture with a not-amused Nick watching on. She later chugged his beer, with liquid running down her face and neck. Very sexy.

Apparently through it all, Nick just ignored her. Good move, buddy. She probably puts up with all your football watching - you can put up with a few raucous nights!

Nick and Jess - It's Really Over

Am I the only one who sorta hoped that Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson could somehow work it out and not really get divorced. Sigh. Well, now it's really really over - all their assets have been split, according to US Weekly. It took an entire year after they filed for divorce to figure it all out, but they finally divided up all their property.

Unfortch, all the details were sealed by the Court and they agreed to be bound by a confidentiality agreement. Whatever.
