Foxy Brown Gets Stern Warning in Court Yesterday
Def Jam rapper Foxy Brown, 31, was ordered to Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday to stand before the judge because of accusations that she has violated her parole violation.
Back in October, the rapper was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to attend anger management classes and submit to random drug testing after an altercation in 2004 with manicurists from a NY nail salon.
Attorney Shawndra Weinberg told Judge Melissa Jackson that Foxy Brown has not shown up for her appointments with the Probation Officer, nor attended court-ordered anger management classes or drug testing.
"She's asked for special treatment," the attorney said. "She's told us, 'I'm not like them,'" meaning her fellow men and women who are on probation."
The judge ordered Foxy to comply, threatening jail time if she doesn't.
After the proceeding, Foxy told reporters outside a different store, that she has "never violated probation. This is happening to me because I'm Foxy Brown."
